Hike to Trollsjön

This experience combines crystal-clear waters, dramatic mountain scenery, and impressive geological formations in a full-day outdoor adventure.

We start the tour with a short drive from Abisko to the trailhead, where the hike begins. From there, we head into the mountains on foot, surrounded by the vibrant colors and fresh Arctic summer air. 

 The destination is Lake Trollsjön (Rissájávri), widely known for its exceptional clarity and striking beauty, and the impressive Valley of the Rocks, a dramatic landscape filled with massive boulders shaped by ancient geological forces.

The hike is approximately 12 km in total, and the pace is adapted to the group and weather conditions to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable experience for everyone. 

 The tour starts at 10:00 AM and lasts approximately 6 hours.

Along the way, your guide will share insights about Arctic nature, geology, wildlife, and the history of the Abisko region. There will be plenty of time for breaks, photos, and enjoying the scenery. 

 Professional photos are included, capturing landscapes, group moments, and personal portraits so you can fully enjoy the experience without worrying about your camera.

*Wildlife sightings such as reindeer or birds of prey are possible but not guaranteed.

Itinerary

• 10:00 – Hotel pick-up in Abisko or Björkliden and drive to the starting point of the hike
• 10:30 – Hike to Trollsjön.
• 16:00 – 17:00 – Return to Abisko (flexible depending on conditions, sightings, and stops)

Guest Cancellation:

• More than 30 days before the tour: You will receive a 100% refund of the total booking amount.

• Between 30 days and 3 days before the tour: No refund will be issued. However, you may reschedule your tour to another available date during the current season or the following season, subject to availability. The tour price will remain the same, regardless of any price changes.

Cancellation by Abisko Mountain Lodge:

If we need to cancel a tour due to unsafe weather conditions or other circumstances beyond our control, you may choose one of the following options:

• Join an alternative tour that we recommend (subject to availability).

• Reschedule your tour to another available date during your stay.

• Receive a 100% full refund.
