Leave the well-known trails behind and discover a completely different side of the Arctic. This snowshoe expedition is designed to take you far from the places visited by most tour operators, into remote and untouched winter landscapes where silence, solitude, and nature take center stage.

Led by an experienced local guide, this is a true Arctic adventure rather than a simple walk. We begin with a short 20-minute drive from Abisko to a carefully selected starting point, chosen according to weather, snow conditions, and wildlife activity. Our routes are flexible and adapted each day, allowing us to explore areas that are rarely visited and often completely free of other people.

From there, you’ll explore pristine terrain on snowshoes, covering approximately 5 to 10 km depending on the group, conditions, and pace. Every tour is unique and shaped by nature on the day.

Along the route, there are excellent opportunities to encounter Arctic wildlife such as reindeer, ptarmigan, foxes, and birds of prey in their natural environment.

During one of the breaks, your guide will light a fire in the wilderness, creating a warm and memorable moment to rest, enjoy hot drinks and snacks, and take in the silence of the Arctic landscape.

Throughout the experience, your guide will share insights into Arctic nature, wildlife, and life in the Abisko region, while also offering photography tips.

Professional photos are included, covering landscapes, wildlife encounters, and personal portraits, so you can fully enjoy the experience while taking home high-quality memories.

The total duration of the tour is approximately 4 hours, including transfers, the snowshoe hike, and the wilderness break.

• 09:00 – Hotel pick-up in Abisko during December and January
• 10:00 – Hotel pick-up in November, February, and March
• 20-minute drive to the starting point
