Discover the lesser-known side of Abisko on a flexible morning adventure led by a local nature guide and professional photographer.

We’ll pick you up directly from your accommodation in Abisko and travel by comfortable minivan to carefully selected locations that few visitors get to experience.

No two tours are exactly the same. Your guide will choose the best route according to the weather, light, accessibility and recent wildlife activity. Depending on the conditions, we may visit between one and four different locations, including frozen waterfalls, hidden ice formations, scenic viewpoints and areas where wildlife has recently been active.

Some days we may explore several places, while on others we may spend more time hiking and discovering one or two particularly special locations. Walking distances vary, with possible hikes of up to 2-4km.

Along the way, we’ll search for Arctic wildlife such as reindeer, moose, eagles, owls and other animals living around Abisko. Wildlife sightings cannot be guaranteed, but your guide will use local knowledge, tracks and recent observations to choose the most promising areas.

You’ll also learn how to recognise animal tracks and signs while discovering more about the unique landscapes, flora and fauna of the region.

During the tour, we’ll stop in a beautiful location for snacks and a hot drink.

Your guide will photograph the landscapes, wildlife and, if you wish, you and your group. The edited photographs will be sent to you after the tour, giving you lasting memories of your experience in Abisko.
