WHOLE DAY HIKE IN ABISKO

Join
our Outback Abisko guide on one of our favorite tracks in Abiko National Park
and beyond.

This hiking
tour is offered to anyone staying in Abisko/Björkliden area. We will pick
you up at your accommodations the morning of your tour.

The beautiful Abisko vally is majestically located
between the Torneträsk lake and the surrounding mountains Nuolja, keron,
Tjounatjåkka. We either make the trip along the world famous Kungsleden and
towards Lake Abiskojaure, or we cross the national park and go up along Nissunjåkka
canyon. On both trips we are close to the Arctic flora and fauna, with Tjounatjåkka
as a significant orientation point.

Up to lake Abiskojaure lake we are following the river
and hike along the world famous Kingstrail which is a well-marked and picturesque
trail. Once we reach
the lake, we take a rest in an old Sámi settlement, surrounded by stunning
nature and traditional buildings.

The trip to Nissunjåkka canyon will take us on a wilder
experience. The paths that are not as well tread and the spectacular climb
above the tree line will take away your breath. The views over famous Čuonjávággi, Abisko
Valley, mt.Noulja and Torneträsk lake in autumn colours and shades are simply
unforgettable!

The weather and the participants’ physical shape are
decisive for the choice of route. Our guides are very experienced in the Arctic
wilderness and will always consider the best route option. No matter where the
trip goes, a full day of hiking is good for your body and mind. You are
guaranteed to be left with new knowledge and impressions.

- This experience requires a minimum of 2 people. If it’s cancelled because the minimum isn’t met, you’ll be offered a different date/experience or a full refund.
