TASTE OF ABISKO

We hike through the mountain birch forest and discover all the beauty that Abisko National Park has to offer. We will tell you about the Abisko that has been The Sami home for millennia. You get see a reconstructed settlement. Come in and feel the atmosphere in lavvun where the fire crackles.

Inside the lavvu, we talk about the Sami’s life with the 8 seasons while tasting raw products such as reindeer meat, coffee cheese, ghakku (soft flatbread) and other local delicacies.

We continue the hike until we arrive Abiskojåkka, the river that flows through the national park and out into the lake Torneträsk. The guide talks about all that characterizes the environment in Abisko. We stop at places of interest to treat ourselves to a moment of reflection. The autumn season brings many shades in the nature, wild berries, and a chance to see tracks of wild animals.
