DISCOVER SAMI LIFE IN THE MORNING LIGHT

Enjoy a peaceful Arctic morning surrounded by snow-covered landscapes and the soft colours of the northern sky.

Away from the crowds, we make our way to a reindeer enclosure where a Sami reindeer herder welcomes the group.

You will learn about Sami culture, reindeer husbandry, and life in one of Europe's last wilderness regions. There will be opportunities to feed the reindeer, take photographs, and gain a deeper understanding of the Arctic way of life.

After spending time with the herd, we warm up around the fire inside a traditional Sami lavvu, enjoying hot drinks and snacks while listening to stories about the region and its people.

The morning departure allows guests to experience the unique Arctic light, from colourful sunrises to the soft glow of the Polar Night season.

Professional photos are included throughout the experience.

• 08:45 – Meeting at Abisko Mountain Lodge reception

• 09.00 Snowshoe walk to the reindeer enclosure

• Reindeer feeding and Sami cultural experience

• Fire and snacks inside the lavvu

• Return to Abisko

Important Information

During October and November, the use of snowshoes depends on snow conditions. If there is not enough snow on the ground, the experience will be operated as a regular hike instead of a snowshoe tour.

The route, activities, and overall experience remain the same, allowing you to enjoy the reindeer encounter, Sami cultural experience, and Arctic landscapes regardless of snow conditions.

There is no hotel pick-up for this tour.

Please meet your guide at the reception of Abisko Mountain Lodge 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time.

The guide will provide the necessary equipment before departing for the experience.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that travel plans can change. Please read our cancellation policy carefully before booking.

Guest Cancellation:

• More than 30 days before the tour: You will receive a 100% refund of the total booking amount.

• Between 30 days and 3 days before the tour: No refund will be issued. However, you may reschedule your tour to another available date during the current season or the following season, subject to availability. The tour price will remain the same, regardless of any price changes.

Cancellation by Abisko Mountain Lodge:

If we need to cancel a tour due to unsafe weather conditions or other circumstances beyond our control, you may choose one of the following options:

• Join an alternative tour that we recommend (subject to availability).

• Reschedule your tour to another available date during your stay.

• Receive a 100% full refund.
